Bijan Thomas is the founder and lead coach at Ambitiously Average Studio. A Navy veteran and former Command Fitness Leader, Bijan spent 4 years overseeing group training and fitness assessments for hundreds of sailors. His military background shaped his approach to fitness: keep it simple, repeatable, and grounded in real-world movement.

With a lifelong passion for sports and dance, Bijan knows that movement is more than just exercise—it’s a privilege and a form of therapy. Whether you’re dancing, lifting, or practicing sumo, moving your body changes your mindset and your health. It’s a way to reduce anxiety, build confidence, and keep your body resilient—because you never know when life might put your mobility to the test.

Inspired by his own fitness journey and his current pursuit of combat sports through Sumo, Bijan focuses on practical, consistent routines that build strength without burning out. His philosophy is simple: invest in yourself through small, consistent actions, and the results will follow—just like compound interest.
